Two lots from the upcoming Inglis Easter Yearling Sales that should catch the eye of any avid catalogue diver, are the beautifully bred Southern Halo yearlings being vended by Vinery Stud (as Agent). So how exactly do two South American-bred yearlings wind up being offered in an Australian sale ring? Through us of course!
Carriole, the dam of stakes winner CONSERVATORIO (by Hussonet) and CRYSTAL CLEAR, the Champion 3YO Filly in Chile in 2003 were sourced and purchased in Chile before being trucked to Argentina, where after considerable negotiation both mares were served by SOUTHERN HALO. From there the mares were quarantined in the USA, flown to Australia and were again quarantined in NSW until they foaled. Sounds complicated? Not for the team at PD, it was all
too easy!
Both yearlings are outstanding types and are well worth a look if you are at the sales next week. It wouldnt surprise us if the Carriole colt (pictured) was purchased with sire potential in mind due to the outstanding success that fellow Southern Halo son MORE THAN READY is experiencing.
