Former Grand Lodge Thoroughbreds shuttle stallion DISTORTED HUMOR has recently added a UAE Group 2 success to his list of achievements with his Godolphin US-bred colt Regal Ransom winning the US$2 million Gr2 United Arab Emirates Derby for 3YOs. Not to be outdone by her famous relative, Pedigree Dynamics-imported mare CAUSE TO DREAM (out of a half-sister to Distorted Humor) has just produced her US-bred but Aussie-born GULCH filly. GULCH is most famous in Australia for being the sire of 4-time Group 1 winner and successful sire in his own right, THUNDER GULCH. However, GULCH also sired another 69 stakes winners worldwide including 4-time Group 1 winner in Great Britain & the UAE NAYEF, dual Japanese Group 1 winner on dirt and turf EAGLE CAFE, winner of the Gr1 Hollywood Derby COURT VISION and winner of the Gr1 One Thousand Guineas in Great Britain HARAYIR to mention just a few. As a racehorse GULCH won an impressive seven Group 1 races and from 32 starts he was in the money 25 times with his career earnings totaling just shy of $US3.1 million, a very tidy sum for his day.
