This lovely scopey filly by GALILEO is situated in Western Australia and was broken in as an early 2 year old before being sent to a provincial trainer for a short prep of 8 weeks, where she displayed a genuine aptitude and ability. Galileos dont generally come into their own until they are three and four year olds. The progeny of her sire had a wonderful season last year and now he is standing for in excess of 250,000 Euros and will no longer be shuttling to the Southern Hemisphere. The residual value of this filly as a broodmare is considerable. She is out of a half-sister to stakes winner STRAWBERRY GIRL whose Redoutes Choice yearling colt was purchased by Gai Waterhouse for $1MILLION at the recent Gold Coast Magic Millions. The filly is currently spelling at Mungrup Stud and these photos were taken just a few days out of training. She is letting down nicely and will benefit greatly from this break.
